Tier 1, tier 2, tier 3. New cricketing terms inserted into the domestic calendar and a much-needed ICEC-compliant county commitment. It’s great to see women’s cricket more obviously aligned to the counties from the 2025 season, not least because, according to the ECB, it could lead to an 80% rise in women’s professional cricket by 2029.
This, to me, is paramount. It’s what the ICEC report is all about – to make the game more accessible to all, and for women’s cricket to get the recognition it so obviously deserves. It makes sense to utilise and build on a system...
