Elworthy lands new ECB role

STEVE Elworthy will take up a new role as director of special projects at the ECB following the conclusion of his current contract as managing director of the Cricket World Cup.
Elworthy has been drafted in to provide support for ECB CEO Tom Harrison on a range of initiatives, including working as a tournament director for The Hundred competition, which starts next year.
