I’m in a hospitality events marquee, complete with chandeliers and a bar.
Through the curtained windows first-class cricket is visible on the delightful New Road ground in Worcester.
The cathedral dominates the far-reaching backdrop. It’s a local derby against Warwickshire and, although the rivalry on the pitch may be fierce, camaraderie is evident in every stand and in the warmth of stewards and supporters alike.
