County form the priority as Vince targets title challenge

JAMES VINCE is hoping Hampshire can hit the ground running in the County Championship – and end the season looking up rather than down.
Hampshire have pulled off some miraculous escapes in recent seasons, not least in 2016 when they won a reprieve from the drop after Durham were sent down as a result of their financial problems.
Durham still languish in Division Two, while Hampshire have maintained their Division One status, albeit rarely without a great deal of drama.
