Cook rolls back the years to lift Essex

HAVING scored only one first-class fifty in 14 previous visits to Trent Bridge, former England captain Sir Alastair Cook made it two in one match and stands just 13 runs away from his first century on this ground as Essex overcame a substantial first-innings deficit to nose ahead against Nottinghamshire.
