Bucks start title defence with convincing win

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE LAUNCHED their defence of the NCCA Championship title in impressive fashion, by trouncing Staffordshire by 187 runs in their Eastern Division One opener at Chesham.
Staffordshire’s defeat was their largest by runs margin with off-spinner Bertie Foreman (4-54) and slow left-armer Conner Haddow (5-45) spinning them out for 197 on the last day. Staffordshire’s previous heaviest defeat had been 186 runs by Lincolnshire at Sleaford in 2008.
