KENT’S Hugh Bernard claims he is in the form of his life, with a pair of five-wicket hauls putting him on the verge of a first-team recall.
He took 5-72 against Glamorgan last month and backed it up with a superb 8.5 over spell against Surrey – when he took 5-20 at Beckenham.
Bernard, 20, made his first class debut against Glamorgan last summer, with three wickets hinting at a bright future – but he struggled with his run-up and was warned by the umpires for following through on the pitch.
