Jude Bellingham, England footballing superstar, has bought a minority 1.2% stake in Birmingham Phoenix for some £1 million.

Jude Bellingham, England footballing superstar, has bought a minority 1.2% stake in Birmingham Phoenix for some £1 million.

Knighthead Capital, the US investment fund which owns Birmingham City, bought a 49% stake in the franchise last year to become co-owners along with host county Warwickshire.
Warwickshire confirmed last week that the Real Madrid midfielder, who grew up in Birmingham, has bought a small stake from both parties.
Bellingham has a real interest in cricket and played age-group cricket at Hagley CC, near Stourbridge, and at Priory School, a mile away from Edgbaston.
