Akhter saves his best ‘til last

CAMBRIDGE bowler Zaman Akhter produced the East Anglian Premier Cricket League’s best bowling performance of the season on the final weekend with an outstanding 8-45 against Frinton-on-Sea.
The season’s last game at Frinton Cricket Club saw visitors Cambridge win by 13 runs after a stunning performance from the 22-year-old Akhter.
After winning the toss, Frinton elected to field, and Cambridge set a solid, but still chaseable, target of 221.
