Abbott and Smith top MVP charts

SEAN Abbott and Bryony Smith have been selected by the Professional Cricketers’ Association as captains of May’s men’s and women’s teams of the month. Both XIs are based on the PCA’s MVP Rankings system, used to assess top performers across all formats.
Abbott leads the way following his 34-ball hundred against Kent, the joint fastest ever in the T20 Blast, while Warwickshire’s Sam Hain and Durham keeper-batter Ollie Robinson have made the men’s side for the second month in a row.
