NEWLY PROMOTED Hetton Lyons defeated Sunderland by 135 runs in the North East Premier League thanks to an unbeaten double-ton for overseas pro Zain Abbas.
The Pakistani first-class player carried his bat, scoring 235 from 135 balls, including 27 fours and 11 sixes, as Hetton Lyons made 378-4from their 45 overs.
Robert Talbort then took 3-49 as Sunderland were kept to 213-7, Greg Applegarth making 51.
