The Northern Superchargers’ 18-year-old opener Davina Perrin set the Oval alight yesterday as she scored the first century in this year’s Hundred and the joint third fastest ever in women's cricket, with only Sophie Devine’s 36-ball and Deandra Dottin's 38-ball efforts ahead of her.
Perrin’s innings was part of a blockbuster 214-5, a whopping 33 runs more than any team have ever posted in the women’s Hundred, giving the Superchargers an easy win over defending champions London Spirit and meaning it is they who take on Southern Brave in the final today.
