Schools comps reach semi-finals

MERCHANT TAYLORS’ were the last of the schools to advance from the round of 16 in the National Schools Boys Under 18 T20, holding off Epsom in a tight contest in the London play-off. Batting first, Merchant Taylors’ posted 162, a total that looked competitive but far from secure. Epsom pushed hard in reply and remained in the hunt deep into the chase, but finished seven runs short.
