Du Plessis becomes oldest men’s T20 centurion

FORMER SOUTH Africa captain Faf du Plessis became the oldest to score a men’s T20 hundred when he struck a 52-ball 113 not out during the 2026 Major League Cricket opener between Texas Super Kings and Seattle Orcas.
Du Plessis, who is also captaining Texas, opened the innings alongside Saiteja Mukkamalla in the run chase of 221. Seattle, led by Tim Seifert’s ton (104 in 66) and Shayan Jahangir’s 47-ball 78, posted a formidable total, with the team also gaining an early advantage after they sent back Mukkamalla on the second ball of the chase.
