Local Hero Harris signs off on a high

AT THE end of the 2012 season, having decided to leave Glamorgan, 22-year-old James Harris sat in the empty stands at Sofia Gardens and shed a tear with his dad, contemplating life away from Cardiff.
By then the Swansea-born seamer had already written himself into the county’s record books: he debuted for the second team at 14, took 10 wickets in a County Championship match at 17, and in 2010 became the youngest Glamorgan player to reach 100 first-class wickets at just 19.
