TEST cricket’s first scheduled four-day match for more than 40 years required just two to complete as South Africa swept Zimbabwe aside in Port Elizabeth.
After Proteas opener Aiden Markram’s second ton in four Test innings had allowed stand-in skipper AB de Villiers to declare, seemingly unnecessarily early, at 309-9, Zimbabwe’s batsmen were overwhelmed in this one-off day-night encounter.
