BIRCHENCLIFFE is on the brink of dissolving after the club was kicked out of its ground.
Sharing the space with Lindley Swifts Rugby League FC, a dispute arose when groundsman Mark Burns stopped a Swifts clash after they ‘trashed the match wicket’.
Despite cricket being played at the venue for 50 years, the first XI now has to play its remaining matches at nearby Bradley and Colnebridge.
