Less than a week before the start of The Hundred, women’s T20 Blast Finals Day played out at The Oval. If you missed it, you can hardly be blamed.
Wedged between England’s Test against India at Lord’s and the opening weekend of The Hundred, as well as falling the day before the men’s Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston, the showpiece of the women’s domestic T20 season barely stood a chance. That’s before we get to the cricket on the field. A scattering of supporters filled the stands for the biggest day in the county calendar.
