PUDSEY CONGS have been dealt a cruel blow ahead of their return to the Bradford League’s Premier Division after captain and overseas star Yohan Mendis failed to obtain an International Sportsperson’s visa.
Mendis needed to play one more first-class match during the Sri Lankan season to meet the criteria for the visa but was left out of the Colt’s XI for their final game of the season as a host of Test players returned to the fold.
