I was on the Somerset Academy but the club didn’t take me on which was a huge blow.
I played cricket in Australia, a lot of minor county cricket with Dorset and Wiltshire and loads of high-level club cricket.
If a left-arm wrist-spinner was on a club’s books nowadays, the chances of them getting a contract would be quite high.
I had stints with Hampshire and Gloucestershire, but it didn’t work...
