The unforgettable final scenes at The Oval gave us more drama than we knew what to do with.
And at the end of it, as India somehow picked themselves up off the canvas to land the killer blow, we ended up with the result that felt right. It would have been a travesty had Shubman Gill’s team not taken something from this series.

More than any other player, this was Mohammad Siraj’s summer. He was a warrior throughout, a towering cricketer and the last fast bowler standing.
