I was ten years old at my school, Jessop Primary in Herne Hill, South London.
A guy called Tony Moody came in to teach us cricket. Tony’s a legend in the community, I know this now but back then I had no interest in cricket.
I remember the teacher saying, “We’re going to play cricket today!” And I was thinking, “This is going to be rubbish”.
