Essex all-rounder Noah Thain on the up as opening spot pays dividends

Noah Thain has backed up his maiden professional century with another three-figure score as the Essex all-rounder continues to make the most of his move to the top of the order.

Essex all-rounder Noah Thain is in reflective mood – it’s taken him 61 professional matches across all formats, to record his first century.
His 102 off 116 balls against Sussex last week at Arundel, in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup, rubber-stamped a fruitful period with the bat which took him to the top of the run-scoring charts in the 50-over competition.
