CHANDIKA Hathurusingha’s reign as Sri Lanka head coach could be about to end after chief executive Ashley de Silva flew out to South Africa for crisis talks.
According to a Sri Lanka Cricket release, Hathurusingha has been asked to return home midway through the ongoing ODI series in order to “discuss the Sri Lanka team’s preparation for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup”.
The Cricket Board have named fielding coach Steve Rixon as acting head coach of the side for the remainder of the three-match T20I series.
