SIXTEEN-year-old Hamidullah Qadri has been rewarded for his five wickets on his Derbyshire debut by being handed a place in the England U19 squad to face India this summer.
The Afghan-born off-spinner will be part of the squad for the one-day series that consists of five matches, having taken 5-60 to help Derbyshire beat Glamorgan and earn their first County Championship victory for two years.
Selectors have only considered players who are in contention for January’s U19 World Cup in the one-day squad, with it captained by Harry Brook.
