NEW ZEALAND began their three-match T20I series against UAE with a 19-run win as Tim Southee took 5-25 in Dubai on Thursday night.
Chasing 156, UAE were bowled out for 136 with two balls to spare, with Southee well supported by Mitchell Santner (2-22) and Jimmy Neesham (2-15).
The match also marked the return of Kyle Jamieson from injury, with the fast bowler taking 1-20 in his first match since February and first international appearance since last June.
