The 15-year-old came into his own in the final of the A team triseries, against hosts Sri Lanka A in Dambulla, slamming the fastest List A fifty ever, off 11 deliveries, en route to a 29-ball 94. He would have equalled Jake Fraser-McGurk’s record of the quickest ton in the format (29 balls) had he scored a maximum off the delivery he was dismissed.
