EX-SUSSEX leg-spinner Will Beer is in wonderful form at the top of the order as captain of Horsham in the Sussex League. Having played the majority of his professional career as a specialist bowler, he has developed into a very effective batter in league cricket since his last county appearance in 2022.
In 10 league knocks this summer, he’s scored 617 runs at an average of 77.13, including two centuries, with his most recent coming last weekend when he scored 139 not out opening the batting against Cuckfield as Horsham chased down a total of 295.
