Lauren Winfield-Hill believes England’s T20 World Cup final defeat to Australia should not overshadow the progress made under Charlotte Edwards, despite the gap between the two sides remaining clear.

England showed the progress they’ve made over the last 18 months in the T20 World Cup, but the final highlighted how good you have to be to beat Australia.
My overarching feeling coming out of the tournament is of real excitement and pride for this team, because they’ve played some really good cricket and they look like they’re trending in a really positive direction.
But there’s also an undertone of sadness that they didn’t quite showcase where they’re truly at in the final.
