THE contrast between Matt Renshaw’s first game for Somerset and his first game against them could not have been more pronounced.
Last April, the 23-year-old Middlesbrough-born Queenslander introduced himself to the West Country with a superb hundred as Tom Abell’s side beat Worcestershire by 83 runs. On Monday, however, Renshaw was caught at slip off Jack Brooks for nought and returned a match aggregate of just five runs for his new county, Kent, who lost to his former team by 74 runs.
