Fit-again paceman Archer gets nod for World Cup

He might not have played a professional game of cricket since May 2023, but all the talk was of Jofra Archer this week as Rob Key and his fellow selectors put their faith in their hugely talented quick having fully recovered from his long-term right elbow injury.
They will hope Archer can spearhead England’s attempt to retain their T20 world title in the Caribbean and USA in June and have given him this month’s four-match series against Pakistan to prove his fitness.
