T20 Blast: Benjamin keeps the Bears on title prowl

BIRMINGHAM Bears became the fourth and final side to progress from the Vitality Blast North Group thanks to a 14-run win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
The Bears set Northants a target of 192 at Edgbaston, with an unbeaten 60 from Chris Benjamin well backed up by Carlos Brathwaite’s rapid 27 in their 191-6.
The Steelbacks held their own throughout the chase, Rob Keogh’s 55 not out and 39 from opener Ricardo Vasconcelos putting them in contention.
