Heino is the hero as Kent frustrate champions Essex

HEINO Kuhn made history by hitting the first century of the Bob Willis Trophy as Kent took command of their opening South Group match against Essex.
The 36-year-old South African reached the milestone off 167 balls and finished on 140 not out to put Kent in the driving seat having slipped to 23-3 in the first 20 minutes in Chelmsford. County champions Essex made a quick start when Sam Cook pinned Kent stand-in captain Daniel Bell-Drummond lbw in just the fourth over.
