It’s no-go for Tresco as Somerset look to build on solid start

MARCUS Trescothick and Somerset have been dealt a blow after the former England opener has been told he will need surgery on his broken foot.
The 42-year-old broke his fifth metatarsal in Somerset’s battling draw against Lancashire last week and will have surgery on Monday.
Somerset coach Jason Kerr refused to put a timescale on Trescothick’s absence but he will certainly miss today’s County Championship game with Hampshire.
