LAST summer could not have been much worse for Northants but from the ashes of despair grows shoots of recovery and fans can take solace from the fact the only way is up.
The white-ball formats are once again likely to take priority and reaching the knock-out stages of at least one is well within this squad’s capabilities after last season’s disappointments, where they finished third-bottom in the One-Day Cup and bottom in the t20 Blast.
