NEW FARNLEY defeated Smethwick by four runs in a close game in their ECB National Club Championship semi-final. Smethwick won the toss and put New Farnley in to bat which allowed them to set a big total of 271 from their 40 overs. Ryan McKendry scored 107 from 94 deliveries as Gurbaj Singh took 3-53 for the hosts.
