ANDREW NEAL has graduated from this year’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign with flying colours – but the man himself fears that English cricket could pay a heavy price for turning its back on the University programme that helped to hone his skills and those of countless others.
Neal – who was handed a lifeline back into the professional game by Hampshire during their One-Day Cup campaign last summer – came through the system with Leeds/ Bradford. And he’s far from alone.
