MI NEW YORK and Washington Freedom contested the final of the MLC late last night in Texas. New York lost six of their first seven matches but just made the playoffs, knocking out San Francisco Unicorns and Texas Super Kings to set up the final against Freedom, who won eight of their ten league games.
New York’s captain Nicholas Pooran said: “I’m not sure how we got to the final, but we’re here now! In all honesty, we haven’t played good cricket.”
