For Usama Mir, his three-year contract with Worcestershire in 2025 represented far more than job security – it was an escape from a system which he believes failed him.
Having first tasted life at Worcester during a successful 2023 campaign, Mir immediately felt a connection with the club.
He enjoyed his time and despite a subsequent one-year contract being derailed, his desire to return never wavered.
