A NEW team has taken its bow on the beach at Elie, one of the UK’s most unusual cricket grounds, and on the bucket list of many a club cricketer Last week, the Authors XI made their debut in a game, taking on the Ship Inn. Their ranks included Tom Holland, Peter Frankopan and Nick Hogg and their visit came hot on the heels of the annual game against the MCC as the season of beach cricket continued in the north-east town.
