Katya Witney on England’s issues behind the stumps
Speaking on Wisden Women’s Cricket Weekly podcast this week, Alice Capsey revealed that she’d picked up the wicket-keeping gloves again during England’s winter training camps.
Her aim, she says, is to become a trusted option as their back-up keeper.
Capsey, who first came into the England side as wicket-keeping cover in 2022, has since become an all-round package, offering more than part-time off-spin and the ability to bat anywhere in the order.
