"Unity in the community,” said Samina Mehab when describing the goal of Buckinghamshire Cricket’s successful combined Ramadan and Easter celebration events earlier this year.
The events consisted of a children’s cricket session, which parents were allowed to join, followed by food, with each participant’s family encouraged, but not required, to bring a dish to share.
“We had people from different backgrounds, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, British, non-British.
