The ICC will trial the use of pink balls during periods of bad light in Test matches, subject to an agreement between both sides before the game.

However, the change from red to pink will occur before the start of the match and will not be an in-game substitution.
The ICC have not given a date for the trial to start and have instead confirmed they will be undertaking research on lighting technology for match officials and venues to reduce lost play due to poor light.
