GLAMORGAN’S new signing Charlie Hemphrey is determined to make the most of his second chance.
Hemphrey, 29, was released by Kent as a 19-year-old and later emigrated to Australia where he worked for an airline.
“This (county cricket) is something I’ve wanted to do, having been basically written off in the county game when I was younger,” he said. “I was throwing bags at Brisbane international airport, playing grade cricket and training with Kent’s Daniel Bell- Drummond between shifts.
