When your middle name is Hale-Bopp it’s surely a sign from the stars you’re destined for special things and that could just be the case for Asher Hart.
The young Hampshire all-rounder named after the comet that passed over us in 1997 is currently attempting to break through from the academy that’s recently produced the likes of Joe Weatherly, Lewis McManus, Tom Alsop and Mason Crane.
Hart, 21, enjoyed a solid season in Hampshire’s Second XI last year and also made two first-class appearances to aid his development.
