The beer was fIowing as Hampshire set off on the team coach for the long journey back to the south coast from Scarborough on Sunday. Social media, meanwhile, was about to go into overdrive.
Hampshire’s win over the hosts was primarily down to the brilliance of Liam Dawson’s highest List A score of 142.
He was aided by a sterling contribution from Scott Currie, who smashed 61 off just 40 balls.
Between them, the pair also took four wickets as Yorkshire fell short of Hampshire’s DLS-reduced target of 253.
