TEENAGE fast bowler Mahika Gaur has been selected in England’s white-ball squads for their upcoming ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, but there was no room for Tammy Beaumont in the 20-over set-up despite her record-breaking returns in The Hundred.
Gaur, 17, has already played 19 T20Is for the UAE and turned out for England A earlier this summer against Australia A before representing Manchester Originals in The Hundred. She plays regional cricket for Thunder and took five wickets in eight matches during their recent Charlotte Edwards Cup campaign.
