MIDDLESEX will be aiming to finish the season on a high after their hopes of promotion from Division Two were dashed by Kent last time out.
Dawid Malan’s side suffered their fourth defeat of the season as their promotion rivals completed a three-wicket win on the third morning at Lord’s. The result means they are unable to catch either Kent or Warwickshire going into the final two games of the season, with Sussex also still in with a shout of promotion.
