Leicestershire may be flying high at the top of Division Two, but don’t mention the ‘p word’ in front of Foxes’ coach, Alfonso Thomas.
“I’m not entertaining any conversations about promotion,” he tells The Cricket Paper.
“It’s only the first week in May, come back to me in September!”
Whichever way you look at it, though, Leicestershire’s nerve-shredding win over Gloucestershire last weekend bore the hallmarks of a side going places.
