Few players better encapsulate England’s new-found aggressive approach than Test opener Ben Duckett.
If his early-season numbers for Nottinghamshire are anything to go by, England will go into a busy summer with few worries about Duckett’s ability to score big runs at the top of the order.
His season so far has known triumph and despair. From the high of a maiden century at Lord’s – 177 against Middlesex – to the low of two single-figure scores against Lancashire’s new-ball pair of James Anderson and Tom Bailey last week at Trent Bridge.
